From Oslofjord to Sweden and Back Again

Because of you,

the team of biologists and volunteers who have been on the ground, following Hvaldimir’s movements and advocating for his safety, has been graciously funded and making an impact since the summer of 2021.

Team Hvaldimir has been on-site, following and helping to protect Hvaldimir because of your generous donations. You helped support our team in a time of crisis this summer, and we thank you.

We were able to watch out for him and follow him to Sweden and back thanks to your support. During this time, we worked closely with NOAH for Animal Rights, educated the public, met with authorities and decision-makers. All while also staying with him, keeping a close eye on his weight and well-being through busy and dangerous waters with little to no food resource.

Like you, we were beyond relieved when he returned to safer, calmer waters with more resources for him.

Dependent on donors like you to keep the team on-site with Hvaldimir,

we announce our OneWhale Fall Fundraising Campaign.

Our goal is to raise $23,200k to fund the upcoming months of Team Hvaldimir expenses.

Your donations for this Giving Tuesday, Nov 26th, will help us reach this target and continue our work with Hvaldimir. Every contribution counts, and we're grateful for your support.

Join us in this mission to protect Hvaldimir and ensure his future in the wild with other belugas so that he is no longer lost an alone by going to www.onewhale.org/donate.

100% of your donation today goes to support Team Hvaldimir on the ground. Your contribution goes directly to covering on-site lodging, fuel, boat rentals or food for volunteers.

Join us in this mission to protect and advocate for Hvaldimir and ensure his safety now, and his future in the wild with other belugas.

At OneWhale, our mission is to protect Hvaldimir, while we advocate for his future in the wild with other belugas, so that he is no longer lost and alone.

Our efforts also include co-founding the Norwegian Whale Reserve, with the vision to free other whales from captivity and provide them a natural safe haven in the arctic.
